If you know me at all, you know that I don’t usually say things like “Life Is Tough”, and you’re right I don’t because I believe that what you say is what you get. Maybe not right away, but your most dominate thoughts will determine your future. Just like self talk can change your future to whatever you choose it to be.
You Can Succeed
So why then did I say it?
The truth is that life is tough. The only time life isn’t tough is when you’re dead. So if you feel like you’re having a tough go at it, then you’re right on course. Thank your higher power for the strength to see it through. And remember that even tough times will pass at some time.
I was thinking late last night how sometimes going through hard or bad times is preparation for the good and great times. You have to have a comparison between the two (bad times and good) to even see that where you are at any moment (good or bad).
It’s easy to take for granted the good times and also easy to accentuate the not so good times. So how do we differentiate between the two? It’s up to us to do that. But always remember that no matter how bad it seems to get that it can get worse and it’s probably not as bad as you make it out to be.
Someone said, “If you knew other people’s problems you’d probably be happy to just have your own.” (more…)
Here is a story of how belief and courage can help you overcome fear so you can get what you want.
After hearing about an upcoming appearance by a long loved musician, I decided to go see Lionel Richie in concert as I’ve liked his work and that done with the Commodores (Brick house is a great song). I’ve seen a lot of concerts over my lifetime and yet never seen Lionel Richie or Commodores, so this concert was on my list of things to do. Tickets were fairly expensive for this outdoor event and I wanted to take my children with me so they could enjoy too. Willing to compromise, I decided we could listen from outside the venue and still catch some great sounds from our lawn chairs.
Get Your Ticket To Reach Your Dreams And Goals
As we got out of the car, it struck me. I’ve done it before for myself on occasion for other shows. I’d ask people if they had any extra tickets that they couldn’t use. You see, any tickets they take into the show without using are wasted and sometimes people can’t go for one reason or another. As I started asking around, I felt kind of strange, and uncomfortable about it. Fear filled my mind as I thought about what I would need to do and my belief was pretty low about making it happen. Even my kids acted as though they disowned me as they tried to flee from me while I was working my magic. Have you ever had that happen to you kind of feeling? If not, I encourage you to put yourself out there beyond your comfort zone sometime because successful people will do what unsuccessful people won’t. So you need to build up courage within you. I had almost given up, but somehow I mustered up the courage to continue and I’m now glad that I did. Have you ever felt like quitting early on when things don’t go the way you want them to and your belief is really low because you haven’t accomplished much or anything towards your goal yet?
Well, I did give it another chance and before too long I had one ticket in my hand and I was happy. It was working. I wasn’t going to let down after that. I had some small success by getting that first ticket and I was ready to go for it now. By having taken action, my fear seemed to fade as my excitement took over. One of my daughters said I would never get the tickets and I said, what will you do when I do get them (with a smile on my face)? Boy did I have fun repeating what she said after we were in the show (haha).
I found this very interesting video that explains how to get what you want as long as you are connecting to the right people. Keep this in mind when you are doing anything. It’s fascinating.
Have a great week,
Kevin

Things School Never Taught Us On How To Live A Better Life
I’ve had days like you’ve had. You know which ones. The ones you HATE. But really, it’s not the day, nor does the feeling of having a bad day linger all day either.
Sometimes We Push The Wrong Button
It can come from many different sources, but for me it was due to the frustration of trying to work cooperatively with a banking institution on something that means a lot to you, like your home.
When something very important to you is not or appears not be taken seriously by others of whom you need cooperation from; that can challenge you beyond what a lot of other more trivial issues of which can be overlooked. If you’re like me you begin to think how can I benefit, survive and remove these negative feelings so I can again become the productive machine I was prior to having this incredibly awful situation. The answer for me was to notice the beauty of what was going on around me.
I did this by noticing my family and it was interesting because at first they thought I was not being nice to them, which was my reaction to what was happening to me. But then I began to focus on other more pleasant things without even knowing it. Like my dogs in the backyard playing with my daughter and my other daughter playing beautiful music on her keyboard.
My anger and frustration was completely gone even without knowing it, which was wonderful. The first answer that came to mind when I thought of the question of how do I turn my attitude around was to plow into self-help material, but the truth was I didn’t “feel” like doing it. And fortunately the answer came to me without even trying.
I realize that you may not be in an environment that can offer as much beauty as the one I was in to change your attitude, like an office. My suggestion is to place yourself in one by going outside or some other more appropriate and peaceful place that will facilitate your reaching a positive attitude and stay there until you achieve it. Take your mind off of your troubles and place your awareness on your surroundings instead.
The really neat thing about my experience is that I didn’t realize I had “survived” the situation in such a great way until nearly 8 hours later. I was just happy and peaceful during the time in between. Then it dawned on me what had occurred. I hope and wish this for you too.
Let me take you on a trip, if you will, to a place far far away. Far away from the daily grind. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and into a place of beauty, spender, and serenity. Might this place exist? Have you ever been there?
Take a Mental Vacation to Paradise
For me, it feels like I haven’t been there for years if not longer. One so call moment that I vividly remember is when my family and I went to the California Sierra Mountains during a soft slow fall and sled down some hills. Other times were when I was alone among nature as a child, exploring the world. Even if it was a very small part of the world usually a few miles from my home, but sometimes a few hundred miles.
I would like you to take a 2 minute break from everything you are doing right now to close your eyes and image you are among the most beautiful, loving, and peaceful places and times you can possibly think of. You can take more time if you like, but I want this to be like a vacation for you.
Explore every aspect of your experience savoring every minute detail such that you could write about it in a manner that an alien could read and understand just as you had experienced it. Find things moving slower than usual. Don’t fall asleep though, unless you can.
Now come back to notice and take in every feeling you are currently having. Don’t you feel wonderful? Can you enjoy it every day? The answer is yes, if you decide to make it so. You will be far more productive and live longer and healthier if you take these mental vacations when you are the most overcome by stress and tension. Anytime you take a mental vacation as explained in this post, even when you are not feeling severe pressure and fatigue from life, you will benefit by the healing affects of doing so.
Calmness, Peace, and Tranquility are the signs of a person who is in control of their lives and who is best able to deal with challenges that come their way. You want to be at your best as much as possible, right?
Extremely successful people do not show themselves as anything other than calm, at peace, and tranquil almost 100% of the time. There are reasons for this that mimics their success. They have learned to master themselves so they can live their life and not live the life that they believe others want them to live.
Learn to live your life calmly, peacefully, and tranquilly so you can enjoy the mental vacation that takes you to the best places in the world within your mind. Don’t you want to be there? You can with your thoughts and you determine what those will be.
Here is some of the important information I’ve discussed thus far because I’m always encouraging you to reach your goals and dreams. But, I’m not so sure I’ve ever given you a way to do it. Today this lack of information ends.
Gain Resources To Build Your Dreams And Goals
Recently, I told you about a 13 year old business entrepreneur named Susan Levine who is currently working on her goals and dreams. I can image you may have been thinking this is amazing. To make it even more amazing I’ll let you know she also practices the art of Taekwondo (blue-red belt), is a piano and clarinet musician, runs her own web-site, and is a straight “A” student in school.
You may be asking yourself, how does she do it? You may be motivated by her to do something for yourself after hearing such a story … and I hope you are because I want you to succeed. That’s my goal for you. I have a way for you to do just that, which I’m going to share with you.
Now, before I go into it, I know there aren’t any “Excuse makers” reading this right now because they could care less about their future. Bottom line is they would have an excuse not to succeed or read this. You aren’t that way, so you don’t make excuses and that’s great!
Even not being an “Excuse maker”, you may have found yourself in a situation where you had an idea and yet, you felt overwhelmed because you needed money you didn’t have to finance it. Here’s your solution and it makes me so happy to be able to present it to you. I hinted to it in my last communication about Susan and it’s called “Crowd Funding”as taught in the 90 Minute Cash Advance product, which Susan is using.
Here’s the interesting part about crowd funding. Crowd funding has been around for hundreds of years, but not until now with social media and prolific use and access to the internet has it become the answer to funding your dreams and goals. If you can enroll others in your idea, they will fund it for and with you. Then you’ll be off and running.
Obtaining the money you need to make your dreams and goals happen also validates your idea as something the marketplace is willing to pay for, which is what causes many start-up businesses to fail. So, if you can get support via crowd funding for your venture, then you’ve already taken out most of the risk of what will happen when the product is created. Plus, you’ll get paid to create your idea and do so even before you’ve spent a dime or any time working on it.
I’m so on-board with the crowd funding idea that even if you don’t need the money to work on your idea, I’d encourage you to use crowd funding to determine public interest in your idea so you don’t waste any time or money on doing something that won’t sell. You may have the best idea in the world, but if you can’t make money at it, then you’re wasting your time.
I recall hearing from a mentor of mine that he thought he had the best idea on what his clients would like to see and invested all the time, energy, and effort to create it, only to find out he couldn’t find an audience that was the least bit interested in that idea. However and fortunately his audience communicated another idea to him of how he could be of service and he now successfully does that instead. Just think of all the lost time, effort, and energy he could have saved if he knew today what he didn’t know when he created his original product or service idea that nobody was interested in?
Nothing can stop a person who’s will to succeed is greater than their fear or excuses.
Have a great week,

Believe Yourself To Success Because Belief Equals Possibility
I talked recently about persistence as a way of helping to achieve your dreams and goals. However I had a recent dilemma in regards to a new project I’m working on, in that I was being challenged with having a combined teleseminar and webinar series.
Find Bright Solutions Instead Challenges
The webinar portion would increase the difficultly to execute successfully because of my thinking that a live broadcast would work best in creating the most usefulness to my audience.
Then it came to me one fine day hitting me like a ton of bricks and interestingly it happened to be something I’d pondered already some time ago, which got lost in the static of life. Here it goes…
Make the series focus on personal growth and development from within and leave the artistry and implementation related to external (outside the body) student development as follow up material that might very well include videos or demonstrations.
The point here is that if you believe and love what you do, as I do, your thoughts will center around that love all the time and the best solution will come to you in perhaps the most strangest and surprising moments when you most need them. So, as one of my great past mentors said to me “You don’t need to know all the ‘how’ answers to be successful. You just need to know the why.”
And I say there are 2 whys, 1) why you are doing it and 2) why you’re serving, serves others. For example, 1) I would like to create $3000 so I can buy my daughter a piano and 2) by providing new and fresh information a deeper understanding and wisdom will result in benefiting my clients by exposing a larger fullness and breadth to their experience (This answers the question of why what I am serving, serves my clients). When you can answer those two questions, and if necessary ponder a bit longer, the answers to your challenges will appear. Keep in mind, this technique or principle is applicable in the work environment, if you are serving in that capacity too.
When you are in a creative mode of thinking about what means so much to you and that you enjoy, your project will become all encompassing. It is at this time when you will only know solutions to your challenges and know no reasons why it won’t work.
I am a very emotional person, even so I don’t cry very often. Usually if at all, it’ll be at a good sad movie that you’ll hear a whine coming from the audience that embarrasses my family. But today was different. I’m sure everyone as people has felt the pain that life can sometimes provide like when a loved one dies or you lose your home or you can’t make your payments or the struggles of life just seem to be too much. As a man, at least for me, these kinds of times are infrequent of which I am grateful for because they are so hard to deal with. I think of crying. I think of time alone to just try and pull things together. I think of praying.
Find Strength in Your Feelings
Now if none of that helps, then there are the old standby things to try like, thinking about all you are grateful for, or putting a good self-improvement audio on or reading something inspirational, perhaps playing your favorite songs, and so on. Life is so short and true winners minimize these troubled times as much as they can in order to keep moving in the direction of reaching their goals and dreams. But there are real times in your life when you are experiencing true feelings of sadness and as such they can’t be discredited or overlooked.
They need to be acknowledged them for what they are. Writing is such a powerful tool to help you through these times. One of my mentors Chris Cade has helped me to find more meaning through writing and you may want to check out his work too. You can write anything you want. You can write what you feel or why you feel the way you do. You can write until you have nothing more to say. You can speak from your heart. And I encourage you to keep those thoughts, as they are yours and you can re-visit them as you journey through your life.
As you may know, I am on my way to making the success I desire in my life. I’m doing it with you and I’m here to help you in any way I can. We are going to make it together. That is my dream for you. Please let me know what I can do to help you in reaching your dreams and goals. I really mean it because I believe when you take the focus off yourself and place it on others, that your sadness can be replaced with a meaningful life that gives hope to living a happy life, because your life’s work is for a worthy cause and not a selfish one.
See what you can do for someone else that needs you or is in a time of need. You will experience one of the most beautiful rewards life has to offer. The reward of helping others. I recall a friend of mine calling me recently in need and he was so glad that I just picked up the phone and would listen to his hurting and provide some guidance in getting him back to being a productive and happy person again. Friend, that’s what makes life so grand. Being able to help that person, because some day it might be you. Now I cry no more, for I have purpose.
But the truth is, if you strive to reach your dreams and goals that you will meet more disappointments than if you don’t, and that means more hurting too. But regardless if you strive to be all you can be or not, we are all human and will meet sadness and pain headlong sooner and later. Reality is, to not live your dream life is more painful than doing what it takes to realize and live the life you really want.
I wish you strength and peace as you recover from the difficulties life has to offer you. My suggestion to you is to not pray for things to be easier but for you to become stronger to deal with difficulties. We grow through challenges, not through the mundane.
Have a great week and we’ll talk soon,

Sometimes we work so hard toward making a better life for ourselves and family that we forget what it’s all for. We create our goals, we work our plan and we progress; usually not as fast as we like, but still we make progress, which is good. I’m as guilty of not doing, yet now suggesting we live our dream life today by imaging it in our mind, possibly as much as you, because I haven’t done it much yet myself. Take 2 minutes or 2 hours to imagine in your mind what it feels like when you reach the success you desire. Do it today, do it now. Do it regularly.
Make Your Desires Crystal Clear In Your Mind
You may think to yourself that you don’t have the time or don’t want to take the time to do so, but I suggest that you do take the time because it is what I believe is a critical piece to ultimately obtaining that which you desire.
And here’s the thing. If you’re anything like I am, then you didn’t just start doing everything that you should be doing in order to accelerate your path to success. I added new success principles into my life one by one such that once I mastered and created a habit of utilizing one, then I worked on another. For example, I became very passionate about finding the best way to write my goals down. I studied it for a very long time and ended up using Raymond Aaron’s teachings and have been using them regularly for a while now.
There was a time when I stopped writing down my goals, however I re-committed myself to doing it because I know it’s the right thing to do and because I want the results of what writing goals down provides. I’m also being an example to my family and that makes me very happy. The point here is if you start and stop you can always pick it back up again.
Now that I feel comfortable about writing my goals down and am getting great results in that area of my life, I’m ready to get even better by adding the success principle of imaging in my mind what it feels like and all other aspects once I achieve the success I’m working towards. I’m actually looking forward to it.
And one thing I’ve learned by having written my monthly goals is that I’m so happy after having done so because it makes me feel good to have them done and I’m excited about living the life that having achieved those goals will provide me. You can feel good about your life too. My challenge to you is to incorporate a new success principle habit into your life and then enjoy the results you create for yourself. Imagine and live the life you want today and every day, even if it’s for just 2 minutes.
Success usually doesn’t come easy. And I’m no exception to that concept. I’ve pretty much done things on my own throughout my life and prided myself in doing so. One important success principle I learned to accelerate my success is to work together with others. Here are three great ways to accomplish and use this success principle in your own life:
Chris Teaches What He Knows
Find someone at the level of success you want to be at and do what they have done
Find mentors or coaches to guide and help you get where you want to go
Utilize a mastermind group of like minded individuals (high desire to succeed in life) who provide synergistic collaboration of thoughts and ideas
Here’s a short story on how I met our next incredible featured speaker (Chris Cade) of the free “Ask Mister Self Help” tele-seminar series as it relates to finding a mentor. I sent out invitations to my highly successful “Belief Equals Possibility” giveaway looking for participants for my first significant online project. Chris responded and gave me feedback that was really useful on how to make improvements. We created a friendship over time and his mentoring hasn’t stopped. I really appreciate the help he has provided me and I pass it along to others as I can and through my participation in “The List Building Club” as a spokesperson and ambassador for that program.
Keep in mind that a mentor is someone you want to find and someone you want to become to others. It’s all about making the law of attraction work for you!
