Every day is a new day. We are so blessed, especially as Americans because we have the freedom to do nearly whatever we want whenever we want to. The possibilities of making good things happen for us, our families, and for others is limitless.

So how do you approach your new day? Do you jump out of bed, beat your chest and shout “I’m so happy and grateful to be alive!”? Or is your life a little different than that? I can’t say my life is like that, but I’d like to try.

I happily live with my family and to shout anything during the summer time when I arise would be a mistake as it wouldn’t be very considerate of others. But you single folks out there that live alone can do it :^)

Even so, I remember when getting up was a ritual of hitting the alarm clock a few times, perhaps even enough to make me late for work. Thankfully, I don’t live like that anymore. I get my prescribed amount of sleep and then I wake up right away and tackle the day.

Now there are ways to make it easier on yourself of which I’ve employed into my life, for example, just before I go to bed I demand of my subconscious mind to give me the feeling and attitude of having had the most restful night ever and that I feel better than I ever have before. This technique works. After a while, about 30 days, you won’t even have to do it and you’ll feel that way naturally.

There is so much to be thankful for and so much that we can and should accomplish. G-d gives us the ability to achieve anything we can think and dream of and it’s our responsibility to use those talents, skills and abilities to accomplish everything we possibly can.
