What is faith? That’s probably the first thing you need to understand, because if you don’t recognize the importance of faith, then nothing else really matters.
It took me many years to understand what faith is and you may be thinking you already know too. But to me, faith is the precursor to success. Why? Because faith is required to succeed at anything that you want to succeed at.
I’ve also heard it said that faith is believing you will succeed at what it is you desire, which isn’t a bad way of explaining faith either. But “belief” is the predecessor to “faith”. In other words, you have to believe in something before you can have faith in it. But if you want to get to the underlying theme of what faith truly is and what I subscribe to, faith is belief in yourself that you can achieve what it is you are after or the success you desire before it actually happens at a subconscious level. Once you believe you can accomplish something, you are on your way in doing just that.
For me, I feel like I just discovered the meaning of life after having realized what the definition of faith is and how to get it (of which I haven’t yet told you). Faith is one of the mandatory keys to success, that’s why I’m so excited by having a better understanding of it. And where did I find this enlightenment? In a book called “Think and Grow Rich ” of which my friend and mentor Vic Johnson will send you a free copy of it (if you’ll pay a small shipping fee). Interestingly I must have read that book and listened to the audio version dozens of times before because I understand the value of what it contains and yet I never got to the level of understanding I have today, right now on the topic of faith.
I believe it’s because of where I am in my life right now. I’ve recently been asking questions to myself related to this topic in a somewhat different way. That way has come from another book I’m reading entitled “Stop Self-Sabotage” by Pat Pearson. The question I’ve been asking myself is found in chapter one where it says to rate yourself on how deserving you feel about yourself for all of life’s key areas like relationships, wealth, health, spiritually and so on. You see, you build the feeling of deserving by having faith (belief in yourself that you can achieve what it is you are after or the success you desire before it actually happens at a subconscious level) in yourself for these areas.
Now before I leave you, I’m going to tell you how to build faith so you not only have an understanding of what faith is and its importance, but how to acquire faith in anything you want to succeed at. Acquiring faith is accomplished through implementing the power of Autosuggestion. I’ve actually proven this to be true in my own life several times. The discussion on Autosuggestion is too long to discuss now, but I will write about it soon.
Until next week, You Are Incredible!
